Windsor Old Girls' Association

WOGA was founded as Windsor County Girls' Old Girls Association in 1922, two years after the founding of the school.  Its activities then were numerous.  The Drama Group produced three plays a year and each production filled the theatre for a three day run.  The Sports teams all played regularly and the Association was actively involved with the progress of the school.  Ninety years later many things have changed but what has remained is the total support we have for Windsor Girls' School.  We have two social meetings a year, one in spring and one in September which is also our AGM.

This year is very special because we shall be celebrating with the school in September the completion of the building of our new sports hall.  The invitations to members to come, reunite with some of their year group and  enjoy a welcome drink followed by a first class lunch and a tour of the sports hall.  Our AGM generally takes about 10 minutes so that we can then have a good chat with old friends.

We also intend to revive this year our annual shopping trip to Harrods and to see the lights.  This will be open to members, staff and students if accompanied by a parent.

The funds we raise throughout the year are used to support (generally one a year) deserving students to partake in activities which home circumstances do not allow.  We also support local cancer charities.
