School Uniform:

We are a proud, uniform school. We believe that uniform helps to promote a sense of pride in self and pride in school. Worn correctly, it helps to showcase our identity as a school and the high standards that we expect, promote and celebrate. We are currently phasing in a new school uniform, starting with our Year 9 students this September (2025).

We ask that students adhere to the following as they journey to and from school, and while they are here with us each day:

Year 9:

Windsor Girls' School skirt or tailored trousers.

White, open-revere blouse.

Black, school logo jacket.

Dark green school jumper - optional.

For students who choose to wear the hijab, this must be green, black or white.

Plain black ankle socks (no white socks)

Black, opaque tights - optional.

Year 10 and Year 11:

Windsor Girls’ School dark green skirt or dark green tailored trousers.

White, open-revere blouse.

Dark green school logo jacket. 

Dark green school jumper - optional

For students who choose to wear the hijab, this must be green, black or white.

Plain black ankle socks (no white socks)

Black, opaque tights - optional

Footwear (Year 9-11)

Shoes: Black, non-leisure with low heel.  

Outdoor Wear (Year 9-11)

Coat or shower-proof jacket, which must be removed in the building by 8.40am please.

No 'hoodies'.

Jewellery/Appearance (Year 9-11)

One pair of earrings (studs or 'huggies').

One discreet nose stud. No nose rings

Traditional wristwatch (no smartwatches)

Nails can be painted in a neutral colour (no acrylic nails)

Hair should be naturally coloured; no extreme colours

If makeup is worn, this must be discreet.

No necklaces; No rings on fingers.

PE Uniform & Equipment (Year 9-11)

This should be purchased from the school suppliers and brought to school on days when it is needed.

Football boots (required after October half term)

Trainers - preferably one pair for use indoors and one pair for outdoors

All uniform and equipment should be named by a permanent method, please.

Sixth Form Dress Code

• A tailored black knee length skirt (pencil or pleated style), on or just above the knee or smart, tailored, full length black trousers 
• A black tailored blazer with the school logo 
• A smart business t-shirt or shirt of students’ choice  
• Black school shoes  
• Black opaque tights/black or white socks  
• Discreet jewellery and makeup are permitted  

  The following do not comply with the Sixth Form dress code: 

• Tops with large logos or writing on them 
• Revealing, low-cut tops or cut off tops 
• Hoodies or casual sweatshirts 
• Ugg or Doc Martin style boots 
• Trainers/canvas shoes or flip flops 
• Heels
